This week on the Red Light District Show we celebrated our 5th Anniversary of being on air. We had a huge show and some of our favorite guests on to honor our Anniversary. We started off having our cast tell us what Red Light means to them, and followed up with giving two awards to two of our most dedicated cast members. Tard was given the much deserved Rookie of the Year Award, and Jesse was granted with Cast Member of the Year Award. We also gave out awards to all of our musical guests that granted us with their presence. Our first guest was rock band, Hard Six, who was given Interview of the Year. They stayed in studio for an interview with Tim and then performed a live song. Our next guest on was reggae band, After the Smoke, who was given the Guest of the Year award. The humble musicians stayed in studio to perform a song and also played a musical game “Shazam” where Tim played a song and they would essentially play the song with their own spin on it. The last guest we had on was metal band, American Hoss, to whom we gave the Artist of the Year award; they truly earned it after tearing it up at the VCMAs. American Hoss’ lead singer Shaun then told us one of his infamous stories, that you will have to tune in to hear, but rest assured his stories are always one for the books! Then American Hoss played one of their songs for us as we went into our last break of the show. In the beginning of the show, Tim announced that we posted an ad on Craigslist for a horny college girl looking for desperate men to hook up with. When we came back from break Deanna answered a few of the calls that had been coming in all show. Hilarity ensued as she was fed lines to say to get these men to admit to dirty things only to reveal it was a prank for the show. Again, something you have to listen to on the show to hear how it all went down. Tune in next week to hear our interview with Hudson Henry and musical guest Galvanized Souls. After their interviews we will have segments and some Valentine’s Day fun RLDS style. After you listen to the show log on the VenturaCountyMusicAwards.com to vote for the bands you just heard.
