Another year, another E3. This will be my 4th E3 and like every year, the BIG 3 and developers a like are trying to out do what they present the following year. Now a lot of news has been revealed already and a few developers confirmed that some games won’t be showcased at E3 but instead at GamesCon. Which is good and bad for some people.
I will admit now that most of my coverage will focus on Microsoft and Xbox One, I feel that the last couple of years they have the most to prove and the most potential. I could be wrong after each of the media briefing but as of right now, this is how I feel.
Some of the games from Xbox that won’t be at E3 are
- Quantum Break
Some of the things announced already
- Forza 6
- Rise of the Tomb Riader
- Fallout 4
- Gears of War
- Halo 5 Guardians
- Assassins Creed Syndicate
- Fable Legends
- Call of Duty Black Ops 3
This is just to name a few there’s still may others that were announced on top off the many ID@XBOX games which have yet to be announced.
Some cool things to look out for is
- Windows 10 (integration perhaps a interface update for the Xbox One)
- Oculus Rift integration with Xbox and Windows 10
- Hololens integration with Xbox
I’m really looking forward to what they announce and will be prepared to be blown away with their announcements. They are working in both Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). While Sony is working in VR with their Morpheus goggles due out sometime next year, but will see if they demo it or mention it at all in their media briefing.
Lastly this feels like the first year where both PS4 and Xbox one will have their own exclusive games and the phasing out of Xbox 360 and PS3 begins here after all Xbox 360 is a 10 year old system and PS3 is a 9 year old system. This is the last year we will see remasters of games and start seeing some really great 1st ad 3rd party new IPs and sequels to games we so very love.
I will keep you updated daily on what I have seen and done and heard at E3 this coming week so stay tuned right here on Red Light District Show for my take on E3 2015.
