Kicking off this years E3 we had Bethesda Studios with their first ever E3 keynote. What a way to get things started, 3 great games right off the bat with both cinematics and actual game play. Let’s start off with the conference it self, if you wish to re-watch it in it’s entirety watch it here, but fast forward about 20 minutes to get to where it actually begins.
DOOM kicked things up into high gear. A lot of us were waiting to see something since it was teased a long time ago. Plus if you bought Wolfenstein New Order it including a beta code to play DOOM when ever it was to be released. We might not get DOOM for a while but what they showed off it looks to be a step in the right direction for the franchise. Lots of throw backs to the original and DOOM 2. I for one am super hyped for this game to come out now. But don’t believe me check out this trailer of DOOM.
On top of all this DOOM does offer a multiplayer arena with several locations and modes. The modes mentioned were freeze tag, domination, and clan arena. One of the more interesting things included with the game is level creation called DOOM SnapMap which feels a lot like Halo’s Forge mode but with more ease to edit and alter and add items and enemies as you go a long. A lot of promise for this game and a nice refresher for sure from DOOM 3 survival horror type game play.
The Next big title to be announced was Dishonored 2. Take a look at the trailer.
Dishonored 2 is slated for spring of next year. Till then you can play the newly remastered Dishonored 1 with all the DLC content ever released for it plus a few more bonuses. It’s coming out this August. Both of these games are for only PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Now what most people were waiting for…FALLOUT 4. The trailer was released a week or two ago and it built a lot of hype, but tonight being able to see in-game footage, just confirmed it’s going to be a great addition to the franchise. Also announced with it was the special Pipboy Edition of the game which includes a full scale, wearable, Pitpoy that you can use in-game with your smartphone attached inside and using the Fallout Second Screen app to control in-game Pipboy functions, right on your arm…HOW AWESOME IS THAT? They also announced a release date of 11-10-15 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Along with Fallout 4 they also announced a Fallout mobile game called Fallout Shelter, which is available now on both iOS and Android devices. Check out this trailer and see if its a game for you.
That wasn’t the only mobile game announced today, there was also Elder Scrolls: Legends. Which is based on the card game featured in the Elder Scrolls franchise, only this time you get to play it for yourself.
Lastly there was also mention of a game currently in production a new IP called Battlecry. Check it out and if you like what you see you can sign up now to become a beta tester for this game. To find out more about the game as well as sign up to be a beta tester, go right here:
